  My little girl who is special needs have been with Dr. Pegado since 2009 and he has helped with her vision as well as advise on those bifocal special needs glasses, which can be tricky. Dr. Pegado also performed eye surgery for my young lady and helped straighten her right eye that were a bit crossed. So far so good and my girl has been watching TV, well, what else for kids.... and seeing well in class and learning (slowly..) Plus point : Dr. Pegado checks thoroughly and writes a good prescription and allows for questions, if any. Room for improvement: again the systemic stress in BC with too few doctors and too many patients on the queue so little bit impatient at times but that is to be perceived with some understanding of the medical system! My little girl's eyes are less crossed now and she uses her glasses in school and at home so that is working well as she is recognizing pictures and their label upon tested (she sees well!) With the office staff, the previous few were a bit stand-offish. The current new staff are slightly better although they all seems to be habitually avoid being friendly to patients (not sure again this may be due to the medical assistant college curriculum and what is being taught...I don't know). Overall, my girl's eyes are well taken care of and what more can we ask for ;-)
